SEPTEMBER 2003 - OFF THE WAGON...AND ON THE TREADMILL !

Another month of ups and downs, luckily most were downs! For three days straight I've been at the lowest weight since I started this new weight loss campaign last November. I keep expecting that each morning I'll wake up to see a new low...but nope. In the past, this is the time I'd get frustrated and eat something bad but not anymore (at least now right now!). I'm getting bent on making more progress and I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, so I'll just patiently wait. Well, maybe not so patiently.

I did start physical therapy on my knee. I do feel it is making a difference as I'm learning new exercises to strengthen it. And the bonus is that my gym and the physical therapy place are connected and actually owned by the same man. Because of p/t, I'm going into the gym at least 2 times a week and I'm trying to make it once more on the weekends. I know my body is getting stronger and toner and I'm thrilled to see the difference.

My short lived exile from Diet Coke and coffee are gone. I'm consuming again. Oh well. Sue me. I'm not using the liquid coffee creamer though, so I've cut down a lot of sugar and my coffee quantity has gone down too. As for Diet Coke...well...at least I'm not smoking!

Seriously though folks, I expect to be down some more weight by my next article - a new low soon!!!

I hope all of you out there struggling with your weight can keep a sense of humor. We are so imperfect - it is the human story. Don't beat yourself up too much when you screw up - remember to treat yourself with respect even when you make mistakes.
